CEO of Jungle Media, David Altman brings many years of experience in management, marketing, media and publishing to Jungle Media.

David Altman immigrated to the United States from Cape Town in 1973. Over the years, he has launched a series of successful enterprises in the US, Italy, Kuwait, Kenya and South Africa.

In the early 1990's when Nelson Mandela was released from 27 years of imprisonment, David returned to South Africa. With a love for development and with a view to motivating bi-lateral trade between the US and South Africa and encouraging vital Foreign Direct Investment.

He published "South Africa the Journal of Trade, Industry and Investment". This successful trade, investment and political magazine won the prestigious Golden Ink Award for Publishing Excellence in New York. The magazine is today an official publication of the South African Government and is distributed world wide.

During this time he developed The Made In USA Expo's which became the largest showcase of US Goods and Service in Southern Africa. According to the US Department of Commerce his efforts in the area of bi-lateral trade marketing during the 1990's helped to generate in excess of $2 billion in new exports from the US to South Africa.

He created the Town Hall Exclusive Speaker Series, which over the years brought important international speakers to Johannesburg, facilitating a dialogue between the newly democratic South Africa and it's business and political leadership with important leaders from around the world.

His charity work over the past 20 years includes UNICEF, Find The Children, Amnesty International, El Rescate, The International Rescue Committee. He is actively engaged in support of Disaster Psychiatry Outreach, a New York based non-profit volunteer organization of psychiatrists committed to providing high quality disaster mental health services.

He has traveled widely in over seventy five countries and maintains an extensive network in both the private and public sector, internationally. David lives in New York and maintains a home in Cape Town, South Africa
